Mo' Money, Mo' Problems

Monkee land is expanding, it seems. We are growing fast. My inbox is a little scary.

I realize that for most bloggers, growing is the point. But growing fast makes me nervous. Partly because I haven’t grown since 1982, so it’s unfamiliar territory.

My inbox is full of beautiful new Monkee emails, which I savor and save, but I have also started receiving three totally different types of emails.

The first type goes like this:

Glennon, we love your blog and we think that you and your readers would love our products! We’d love to send you a free (book, trip, ticket, halter top, baby genius tape, pan) for you to try and review for your readers!

The second type goes like this:

Glennon, we think your readers would be a perfect match for our (Zit cream, jewelry line, Cooking for Dummies Line, etc) We’d love to advertise on your blog!

The third goes like this:

Glennon, I write for such and such blog. I have one million bazillion followers. Would you like to swap links so we can access each other’s readers?

So far I’ve just been quietly ignoring these emails, but since they are coming fast and furious now, it’s time to respond once and for all. And I think maybe we should review a few basic tenants of Momastery. Just in an effort to stay true to our roots, to keep it real.

Kay. We Monkees and our Momastery are not for sale.

I have never, and will never make a penny off of this blog. I will never accept a freebie. On the rare case that I offer a giveaway, it’s because A MONKEE has something MONKEE LIKE she’d like to share out of love. And if I love the Monkee thing, I BUY the Monkee thing. So that there is never any confusion about what it is that I am doing here. And I will never, ever, reference a link I’m not in love with just to gain a few readers. Goodness gracious.

Listen, I honestly don’t know where this blog is going. But I do know how we’re gonna get there and how we’re not gonna get there.

One of the purposes of this blog is to prove that things exist that are not for sale. That money and efficiency and publicity and popularity might not be the answers, the end games, the highest goals, the keys to happiness.

Everybody keeps suggesting to everybody else that these things ARE the answer. But I’m suspicious. Isn’t the fact that Dr. Drew makes a good living proof that 15 minutes of fame and fast cash do not necessarily a peaceful life make?

Our goal is to go deep here, not wide. We are collecting hearts, not exposure, and certainly not cash.

Our goals are to be careful, to be slow and pay attention and look closely at each other and to re-think and pray and feel and wake-up and care and connect. So we can become braver and live bigger and realer on this Earth.

My favorite book is Walden, by Thoreau. Thoreau was this thoughtful man who became suspicious that the world’s hoopla was making him forget what life was really about. So he decided to perform a love experiment. He never called it a love experiment because, well - because he’s a boy, but it was. He went into the woods for two years and lived on the land by a beautiful pond named Walden. And he thought and he wrote and he read and he tried to remember what he was born knowing. It was easier to remember because it was so quiet, and so he ended up writing this beautiful book in which every sentence makes my heart leap and forces me to scream to no one: LISTEN TO THIS, LISTEN TO THIS! And so Craig hates when he sees me walking around with Walden because he knows he’s going to have to do a lot of LISTENING TO THIS!

The two hours I spend writing to you each morning are my Walden. Momastery is my way of starting each day remembering what I know in the quiet.

I’d prefer to go live in the woods for two years, trust me. But I know they’d find me. Also I really, really hate the woods. Spiders.

The point of all of this is that part of Thoreau’s experiment was to live in utter simplicity. And so he had almost no furniture in his little cabin that he built himself. And one time a lady felt sorry for him and offered him a doormat, but he refused it. He said, “It’s better to avoid the beginnings of evil.”

Now listen, I don’t think that Thoreau thought doormats were evil, and I certainly don’t think blog advertising or giveaways or link swapping are evil. I just think he meant that he needed to keep his love experiment pure.

And that’s what we need to do here at Momastery. We need to never become starry eyed and dazzled and forget what we are doing here.

People are always saying the following to me: “Can’t wait for Oprah, We’re gonna be on Oprah someday!” But listen. Oprah is not the answer! As a matter of fact, being on Oprah might ruin everything. Those things are shiny and bright and WOW but we are not a shiny, WOW Revolution. We are a quiet, slow revolution. We are a one at a time revolution.

We are not for show and we are not for sale. And we are not successful if we make it to Oprah or the Today show or start creating serious revenue or what HAVE YOU.

We are successful because chances are that tonight some tired and lonely mom will click on a friend’s link and get lost in our essays and our comments and our love for each other. And she will ignore her husband for hours and she will cry a little and laugh a lot and she will read on and on and on. And it may take her months to rally the courage to comment, but she will meet us here every day because she has finally found her people! She has finally found a group of women whose only motive is to love and laugh together and who are NOT FOR SALE. And this will help her believe and be peaceful and feel a little less suspicious and more comfortable and safe and brave on this Earth. And so she will be full of joy. DONE. REVOLUTION WON. Without Oprah!

Please listen to me. The revolution is not in the future, the revolution is not on the Today Show. The revolution is in one quiet kitchen at a time. One Monkee at a time. Slow and steady. Tiny as a mustard seed. The Revolution, the kingdom of God, is INSIDE each of us. It is won or lost THERE, in each heart. Not on Prime Time.

Listen. If Lou and Oprah both called me tonight, and they both asked me to meet them for coffee. .. I would meet Lou.

It is possible that when I arrived, I might ask Lou if she felt like going to meet Oprah with me.

But if Lou was tired and kind of comfortable and said NAH, I’d say, Okay Lou, you’re right. Latte, please.

If the Monkees need money, we’ll raise it. If we need a particular word spread, we’ll spread it.

But we are not for sale. We deal in a different currency here.

And that currency is this:

Are you more joyful when you leave this place? Are you more inclined to believe that you are good and brave and true, and that others are doing the best that they can? Are you more willing to consider that there might be hope for all of us?

THEN THE REVOLUTION IS WON!

Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is inside you.” Luke 17: 20,21

  1. I was that lonely mom a year ago. I found the link on the Facebook page of an old friend from high school. I read, I wept, I laughed and I was hooked. I have experienced first-hand the love of this group and couldn't start my day without it (now I end my days - that whole other side of the world thing). Thank you, Glennon for starting this place. Thank you, Monkees for making it so amazing and safe. Thank you all for being there for me when I needed you and for being there for the others when they needed you. I've often thought that your essays will make a beautiful book one day (kind of like Tuesdays with Morrie), but I can't imagine when that day will come. Because to have a book, there has to be an end and I can't imagine the ending. I sit here with one of my beautiful sons asleep on my lap and am soooo grateful that I found you. So, I must thank Paula for friending me on Facebook and then posting your blog on her wall. Without those two steps, I might never have found you all.

  2. Glennon,
Thank you, Glennon for not selling us out!

This place does give me the desire to be better, to be kinder, to be more helpful. It fills me with hope and reminds me to be more forgiving. I love your self-less vision of it.

By the way, I,too, would go out for coffee with Lou over Oprah. I mean seriously, ya'll if you met Lou you would too. She exudes warmth. Which I think is what is special about each of the monkees I have met.

Thank you, Glennon and all the Monkees!

  3. Somewhat relieved Momastery isn't going to be Momastery at PNC blogspot. Glennon, thanks for being a holdout.

  4. Love you, G. Love all of you, Monkees. Love this place!

  5. The day Momastery gets a corporate sponsor is the day...well it doesn't matter what I threaten to do, because it's not gonna happen. Thanks for not making us worry about that.

The Walden bit made me think of this quote, from The Pilgrim at Tinker Creek.

“An infant who has just learned to hold his head up has a frank and forthright way of gazing about him in bewilderment. He hasn’t the faintest clue where he is, and he aims to learn. In a couple of years, what he will have learned instead is how to fake it: he’ll have the cocksure air of a squatter who has come to feel he owns the place. Some unwonted, taught pride diverts us from our original intent, which is to explore the neighborhood, view the landscape, to discover at least where it is that we have been so startlingly set down, if we can’t learn why.”

  6. Glennon, you are the best. I remember how sad I was when sold out to the man and her blog became 80% ads and pictures of things she loves etc. I felt sort of betrayed.

If you ever need money to help keep the boat afloat, we'll have a bake sale (you don't have to cook....please). Thanks for keeping our happy place safe. I love you and the monkees.

  9. G, we're just going to have to agree to disagree about what Thoreau was doing at Walden. i'm just not sure i'm ready to call a dude living in the woods thinking about life, a "love experiment" yet. Maybe someday, when i'm older and more thoughtful. Oh and I’m pretty sure that stuff like doormats are in fact evil, you can run and tell THAT.

  10. Four things:
    1) Lou rocks. She has the soul of a poet.
    2) Who is Dr. Drew?
    3) Deep, not wide. Love it and amen.
    4) Love you to pieces, G.

  11. Integrity!!! Well said, Glennon.
I wish I was able to meet all of you beautiful women at sweet Evy's party. I've been a reader for about a year now and I am moved by all of you. Sometimes your words give me the energy to breathe my children in for just a moment and ignore the dishes and toys everywhere. Just be. In the moment. LOVE IS THE ANSWER!!! And I love this place. Thank you.
This is my first time commenting!!

I'm not that lonely mom - someday I might be - but I was that lonely girl with her first job living alone in a small town, and now I'm that joy-filled young woman about to get married, and this is a place to grow.

  16. Glennon! Whatever you choose to do, we'll still read what you write every day! It's taken me many months to comment, as you know because I'm guilty of being an inbox filler from time to time. But Becky's comment really made me smile (Best wishes to you Becky!) - and because when I found your blog I ignored my family ALL WEEKEND!

  17. Let us be clear here, that Lou is a metaphor for You.
    If You were ever...

some tired and lonely person who clicked on a friend’s link and got lost in our essays and our comments and our love for each other. And You ignored everything else for hours and cried and laughed a lot and you read on and on and on. You are Lou. And if it took You months or years or have not yet rallied the courage to comment, but meet us here every day because You finally found your people. Then You are Lou. And if You love this group of monkees whose only motive is to love and laugh together and who are NOT FOR SALE, then You are Lou. And if this helps You believe and be peaceful and feel a little less suspicious and more comfortable and safe and brave on this Earth. Then You are Lou. And if You are full of joy and warmth? Great. And if you are not yet full of joy or warmth? That's okay too. We want you to stick around here until you are. Read, Hey Judy. That'll help. Promise. Then keep on reading and watch what g and these amazing monkees are DOING.

"Our goals are to be careful, to be slow and pay attention and look closely at each other and to re-think and pray and feel and wake-up and care and connect. So we can become braver and live bigger and realer on this Earth." Amen, g. Amen.

Hi Shanna!! Yay! You're here! You're here!!!

  18. I am totally one of those Monkees who read and cried and read and cried. I've also been inclined to comment alot at times. I feel like this is a place where I do some theological reflection and truth-seeking. There are days where this place is more real to me than the children I should be caring for.

But I'm also a complete blog neophyte. I had no idea that this had the potential to become a money-making venture. Yuck. Not because I don't want G. to potentially make a living from sharing her gifts of writing and truth-telling. But because I don't want her to ever feel compromised.

So, I need to admit here that I am a Monkee who occasionally tosses out the idea of G. going on Oprah. It's not that I want to spoil her Walden pond experience. I just love the idea of her choosing which outfit to wear.

The first post I ever read was "On Faith." I wept into my keyboard and knew that I had found TRUTH. My heart and mind recognized things I felt deeply but could never articulate. And that has happened over and over again. I am thankful for the love and support and laughter that happen in this sacred space. I wouldn't want that to change, even as this revolution grows.

So thank you for speaking TRUTH, G. This place is a piece of the Kingdom of God-- welcoming, challenging and always making the world more loving. That is something that can never be bought or sold.

  19. i'm a lou :)

now, this is taken out of context but after reading this momastery manifesto of sorts... i couldn't help but think of gil scott heron's "the revolution will not be televised". granted it's a black pride anthem, but peel away at the layers of time and circumstance and color, maybe just maybe you can hear the same song in mr. heron's voice.

from one g to another g from the The G... on revolutions:

...The revolution will not be televised.
The revolution will not be brought to you by Xerox
In 4 parts without commercial interruptions.
The revolution will not show you pictures of Nixon blowing a bugle and leading a charge by John Mitchell, General Abrams and Spiro Agnew to eat hog maws confiscated from a Harlem sanctuary.
The revolution will not be televised.

The revolution will not be brought to you by the Schaefer Award Theatre and will not star Natalie Woods and Steve McQueen or Bullwinkle and Julia. The revolution will not give your mouth sex appeal. The revolution will not get rid of the nubs. The revolution will not make you look five pounds thinner, because the revolution will not be televised, Brother.
    ...
The revolution will not go better with Coke.
The revolution will not fight the germs that may cause bad breath.

The revolution will put you in the driver's seat.

The revolution will not be televised, will not be televised, will not be televised, will not be televised.
    The revolution will be no re-run brothers;
    The revolution will be live.

    :)

  20. This is me! This is me! I am an unofficial monkee. I've been lurking for months. I *still* neglect my family because I'm still trying to read Glennon's and the other monkee's brilliance. I am the lonely mom and housewife that comes here daily to get my loving cup filled. And I am so grateful for you all.

Whew! First post: done! And not so scary!!

  21. G. lady,

I think this may be my fave post to date. And that's saying something.

THANK YOU! (I am standing and applauding!)

And to all the monkees. The best part of being here is all the comments. The community. I was a lonely mom who was broken, and I read and laughed, but cried more. And what this place and space does for me is to make me feel 'Me Too!' and less ALONE in this world. I suspect Vrfox might be my long lost sister as every one of your comments makes me say 'hey, that was my comment!' :)

Thank you for keeping this place sacred to all of us. And for the record, if you covered your blog in ads and promotions, I would stop reading. Cause I would get bored. But if you wrote a book, I would most certainly, absolutely buy it!

I would rather have coffee with G, or Chimmy, or Vrfox, or Meghan, or MaryAnn, or, or, or....than Oprah. Mostly because Oprah would make me too nervous and I would spend most of the time hiding in the bathroom, or squirming over every word I spoke. NOT fun.

Thank you all for being the real deal. The place where my broken heart can feel safe in a group of women.

    Love, love, love,

    Tova

Lou, I wrote a comment this morning explaining that you were a metaphor for everymonkee. But then I erased it because I worried it would hurt your feelings. Because I worry, you know.
Anyway . . . OF COURSE you wrote that comment.

Chimmy, Brooks sent me The Revolution Will Not BE TELEVISED. I love that song. I pump it up very loud in my mini-van and dare people to stare at me at stoplights. They do stare. But I don't let them ruin my Black Panther party.

So much more to say to all of you. Back soon.

Real quick...Isaac...isn't your whole darn life one love experiment after another? I think so, friend.

  25. Just read this on Tovie's blog. Sorry Tova. Had to share. Too precious.

Yesterday was HOTY's birthday. We had dinner and cake and some presents. It was pretty mellow.

I felt stretched thin yesterday. Emotionally brittle. Also overwhelmed. Being super domestic is still overwhelming to me. So to do a Dr.'s appointment, cook a nice dinner, bake a cake, assemble cake, and do all the normal daily stuff is OVERWHELMING to me. I do not excel at this stuff, nor do I love it.

    But I try.

And I guess it paid off. Cause after dinner, Queen E. said to me,

"Mama, I can see your heart is all sparkly!"

I had to get her to repeat it a few times to understand what she was getting at. I was so pleased that the overwhelmed and busy and stressed moments and feelings didn't completely cover my happy, sparkly heart.

    joy.

  27. Just another reason you're awesome :) Pretty sure I couldn't turn down a trip! I have noticed with great pride (since I've been a Monkee from the start!) that this is the only blog I've ever seen where the comments are almost 100% respectful of everyone. Even when someone disagrees, they manage to do it with grace for the MOST part! Most blogs are full of nasty comments (Have you read through that link to Nerdy Apple Bottom??! She must be disgusted about what some people wrote.) Even when things got a little heated over the working verses non working mothers entry, I don't recall anyone throwing out the f-bomb! Although a few people needed a time out for sure :) Anyway, you've created something truly special here. MAJOR kudos to you for resisting what must be some amazing temptation! I'm not sure I could do the same! OH, but if we do make it to Oprah or the Today show, can you PLEASE request some Abbey Cakes in your green room? Your goal in life might be to create a magical place, mine is just to get someone famous to eat a cupcake one day. He he he. Not really. But a little bit.

    Love to you!

    Abbey

Her eloquence is magnificent - absolute genius - this is what she should be doing!" -My husband and fellow revolutionary, interrupting me as I read this post to him on the phone from work in a state of great excitement and at a volume that was wonderfully inappropriate for my thin-walled office at a large law firm.

  29. I think it's great that Momastery is remaining sacred and true to her roots; however, I don't for one minute think that Glennon would be a "sell out" if she were to accept something monetary or material for her efforts.

It's quite one thing to SEEK out money or material gain as an end-goal and quite another to have it be a happy byproduct of something that has clearly been created from love with all the best intentions in the world.

  30. Love this, and love you, Glennon!

  32. Glennon (and Monkees)

This is my first post here. I discovered this site through my boss- of all people! I read the blog about Bullying and was in awe. I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, send a link to everyone I knew, or just browse through all of the past blogs in a matter of days. I ended up doing all of those things.

Thank you for creating such a warm community of like minded people. I had been praying for encouragement, and never guessed that it would come in the form of internet postings and comments! God certainly provides for us when and where we least expect it.

Thanks Glennon and Monkees. I look forward to getting to know you and joining you on this awesome life journey.

    Terri answers:
    Yes!
    Yes!
    and ...Yes!

I love the kindness of this place. That sums it up to me. And I say if some book deal is born from this, it was meant to be! If someone invited you on their show .... not a sell out. Just spreading more G-Love! (but yes, I don't want this to be a place of selling things .... except for Monkee wear because I missed out on the last round).

I have never sought out any blog to read nor really care to. BUT - this one came to me by way of a friend of yours, Glennon. You know who. I am so glad she shared. I've been hooked every since.

I tend to get on a soap box now and again and I appreciate that folks listen, can nod their head in agreement or empathize... or laugh or wonder what I smoked that day, or disagree quietly.... and are never mean.

I like how you, Glennon, mix it all up and throw in some Jesus too. I do. I love it. It is digestible to me. The older I get, the more I think about my faith. Funny how that is.

And you are just so damn funny, girl!

Glennon, I think some time you are going to be known even more widely than this blog. And we will all beam with pride for ya. I think you encourage a lot of these ladies here and more. Naturally I know this helps you too. I certainly hope we don't take you away too much from your own family! I can't imagine how many emails you get.

Well ladies, have a great weekend as it is here almost. Hugs to all.

And an extra big hug to Evy on her last day of chemo!!!!

  34. Hello team:

I love, love everyone's comments. I love the anthem....I wonder why it never occurred to me to get an anthem (I sing Joe Cocker's feelin' Alright a lot, maybe that's it).

Anyhow, I just wanted to say a few things to my darling Ms. G.

    1. You wouldn't know how to sell out if someone gave you a manual with five easy steps...

    2. I HAD NO IDEA that you got the equivalent of telemarketers on e-mail because of what you do for all of us! I AM SO SORRY FOR YOU! Honestly, I hate solicitation calls almost as much as I hate...well there just isn't much that I hate. I genuinely feel bad that because of this, you get invaded like that.

    3. I lived near Walden Pond...its pretty, but its also freezing in the winter and wicked buggy in the summer. Thoreau seemed to need to take a "Eat Pray Love" kind of break 'cause he just couldn't handle people any more. Thank God he really liked nature.

I admire you more than Thoreau (really, honestly) because you are able to point out the acute beauty of life without having to quit life while you do it. (Sorry honey, but I am pretty sure that if Thoreau walked into my office, I would diagnose him and suggest meds for his depression). He wasn't a sell out. He was a recluse.

    4. When we say we want you on OPRAH it is incomplete deference to Oprah's ability to get people to notice something. Yeah, she totally wrecks stuff, but she shines a light sometimes too, and this whole place is like a lighthouse, so I am surprised she hasn't called you all ready (or are you trying to tell us something)

I would only want you on Oprah if it meant that she gave baby Evy and her family, her house in Hawaii to action for the silent fundraiser.

    5. Glennon--I want you to be willing to consider that someone IS GOING ask you to do this professionally, and that considering doing it wouldn't be selling out (in any form--book,articles, essays, made for tv movie starring Blake Lively), it would be an acknowledgment of how powerful this place is for all of us, and your stunning and incredible gift as a writer, and mama to us monkees.

You'll know how to protect it if it needs protecting, and yes...we don't need to sell Taylor Swift's new album here. But something this beautiful, born from such love tends to want to grow, the same way you grow a family, or a business, or faith...

Well girl, I won't speak for everyone, but that's what I am feeling happening everyday.

    Monkee out.

    Meghan

  36. I haven't read a single post of yours without bringing tears to my eyes and laughter to my throat. and since "Laughter through tears is my favorite emotion" (Dolly Parton in Steel Magnolias), you & your community are SUCH a gift!!! You are such a talented and insightful writer that I would read your blog if I had to wade through pop-ups, banners, fliers, and animations to do so... but your post today was such a strong example of what we should all strive for in our own lives... To remember what it is all about, keep our priorities in the right place, despite temptation. and i can only imagine how hard that is for someone whose minivan is on a routine trajectory to the mall, has 3 kids and has donated a large chunk of savings to an orphanage? I'm in awe and I am inspired and motived. You ARE changing the world one kitchen, well maybe not kitchen ;), but one play-room at least, at a time. And I too would buy your book, 1 million times over, and you can go on Oprah to talk about that ;) and keep this pure. Would that arrangement be bending the doormat rules too much?

    ReplyDelete
  37. and p.s. GO! Meghan! GO! She's right G!

    ReplyDelete
  38. G: I know you don't want to make money or freebies or what have you from the blog; however, have you considered that the time you spend writing to us each day, and checking the comments, and replying to gobs of emails takes effort as well as time ... time away from your own family ... which is not unlike the working moms out there who read your blog except that those moms get paid for their work and time away from family? Just something to think about. I don't think anyone would - or at least should - begrudge you if you eventually end up making a little income from your writing gift and little monkee love experiment. Lord knows you put in enough overtime and volunteer hours over the past year-and-half!

You are the real deal sister. Not the stuff of sell-outs so don't worry your pretty little head about that. Just keep letting your intuition guide you and don't worry about us.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Also, I totally think you should go on Ellen instead of Oprah. She's funnier. Also, Madonna was on her show the other day talking about the problem of bullying and how/what to do about it so clearly Ellen is already in the mind-set of trying to find a way for us all to live together harmoniously. I'm pretty sure Ellen is monkee at heart too.

Maybe someone should send Ellen Glennon's essay about bullying and her letter to Chase?

  40. Yes Anonymous - you sound very, very wise like my friend "A". Yes Meghan! I am in full agreement with both of you!

  41. these comments are fantastic!

go evy go!! no more chemo!!

and uh... meghan for president!!! meghan for president!!!

love me some henry david thoreau, but dude was a recluse. despite all that, his words changed my life. funny how this life drop out helped me show up for mine.

i admire and love your stance, glennon! and i get it. and love it because this type of dialogue, this very real, intimate dialogue is sacred and scarce.

but if god has more in store for you, then so be it. and if you make money and put it where your heart is... i'd have no problems with that kinda profit.

and if you ask me, oprah is human and doing the best she can; she may even be a monkee who'd be honored to go to coffee with YOU (and a camera man or two and like millions of people watching). she'd probably dance to gil scott heron's revolution song with you, fist pumping in your minivan at stop lights.

  44. Awwwww, man - can we at least get the zit cream sampling? I love Monkee power but is not curing this facial action I got goin' all up in here.

However, it IS curing the desires I have to pray & think about wonderful people and families and children that bring me to my knees as I am humbled by their smiles & souls (GO EVY!!!!).

However, G - if someone offers up some Oil of Olay Regenerist package samplings, we gotta take them or else that is what I am asking for as an anniversary present.

  45. G - after you read all the comments go back and read you POST, the post was EXCELLENT!

"The Revolution, the kingdom of God, is INSIDE each of us. It is won or lost THERE, in each heart. Not on Prime Time."

Thanks for sharing yourself with all of us. I was totally new to the blogging world when this started, someone else said this too, I didn't know there even were ads/commercials/sales on blogs. I only read Momastery, and Inch of Grey and Joannatorium!

Just do what you do, be what you are. Took you a long time to figure that out, to find your voice, find the Monkees. Now just be joyful, write, answer emails and use the delete button as needed :)

On my way home from work I pass these yard signs: Receive Love. Give Love. Repeat.
    Love that.

  47. Great post. Good points in above comments as well. We know you wouldn't be a sell out, but also if an honest, positive opportunity comes along...that's a different story.

As always, thanks for being the mama monkee and bringing us all together!

  52. As I am reading this post and alll the comments, the smallest member of our household comes up and says "what are you looking at? Why is that a house with money? That's silly! You don't fill a house with money!"

No, honey, we don't fill a house with money. We fill it with love. Out of the mouths...
