I found this piece of art in Tish’s school folder recently. When I asked her about it, she said, “My teacher told me to draw a picture of me and my mommy. But I didn’t know how. So I just drew a volcano.”
No further comment.
Go in peace, Monkees. May we all lie dormant today.
Love, G
Ah yes, "dormant." Sounds peaceful and restful and drama-free. Just what I need. :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha ha! That's too much--Tish is already a philosopher or conceptual artist in training. Either way, watch out. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI know it. I choose to focus on her grasp of symbolism...instead of what the symbol actually REPRESENTS.
ReplyDeleteYikes.
LOL...I needed that today. I sometimes feel like a volcano with G as well. :/
ReplyDeleteHave a great day! Laura
How fitting since Mt. Jeanette erupted this morning unprovoked by climate or natural occurrances and scientists claim it was due to "waking on the wrong side of the mountain".
ReplyDeleteIf not for the eruptions, dormancy would not be appreciated! :)
ReplyDeleteRemember that a volcano doesn't grow unless it erupts! A perspective I will try to keep when ring of fire erupts around my home!
It was just yesterday that I was talking to my neighbor and I described my day as volcanic. Nice to know I am not alone.

Hilarious, I may have peed a little?
ReplyDeleteOut of the mouths (and crayons)of babes.
ReplyDeleteLove love LOVE that kid.
ReplyDeletewhat a smart little girl!
ReplyDeleteShe is brilliant! I took her advice and called out sick today. Give Tish a hug and say thanks from me ;)
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to meet her!
ReplyDeleteHahaha - THANK YOU for posting. I needed a little something today :)
ReplyDeleteWhew -- I am printing this out and hanging it up by my desk, as a reminder to not explode next week!
ReplyDeleteShe is obviously a problem-solver. Much like her grandpa Bubba, I suppose. I've seen him behave in an analogous manner many time. DM.
